What’s the most fun you’ve had with a Madonna Soundtrack?

Was it that birthday party in eighth grade? Your first Madonna concert? A college Halloween party? What’s been a defining moment as a fan?

I took my cousin to a Madonna concert a few years ago. We used to dance around to “Borderline” when we were kids so it was so much fun to go and have a good time and see her actually in person.

My mom took me to my first concert ever — the Blonde Ambition tour. it was AMAZING — i wore the T-shirt to school the next day to show off and i still like to think that everyone was jealous of me going and that my mom was SO cool.

I went on a road trip and we listened to Madonna all the way from Boston to New York. It was awesome. Cause as we were crossing the bridge into New York we played Ray of Light and it was sooooo cool.

The best time I had at a Madonna show was the Reinvention Tour. I snuck down to the floor and ordered champagne and danced the night away. Two days later I did it all over again. And two days later I went for the third time in a week! I’m still paying off my credit card.

My friends and I used to wear the rubber bracelets and bike shorts and tons and tons of socks. It was so much fun. We used to have Madonna sleepovers and put those lace bows in our hair and dance around and prank call the boys in our class.

I remember the first time I ever heard “Like a Prayer.” I was in the 8th grade and my English teacher Mrs. Lawson threw our class an ice cream social because we had done well on a test or something. There was ice cream, soda, etc., and someone brought their jam box. We put it on the local pop music channel and they totally premiered Madonna’s new song. It was the best party ever!

My friends and I skipped school my senior year in high school to go to the mall and buy the sex book. We went to a friends house and ripped open that silver packaging and gazed at her Madgesty in all her glory!

I bought the “What It Feels Like for a Girl” video on DVD and watched it over and over every night. It might be the coolest thing I’ve ever seen.

I loved to sing as a child. Once (at about age 7) my grandparents asked me to sing for their friends whom were visiting. I started singing “Like a Virgin” to my grandparents and their friends!! Their friends were an Amish older couple in their 60’s! Needless to say- they were shocked at the song! (and of course- I didn’t know what a virgin was)!

I have loved Madonna since I was like 8 years old, when I first found my mom’s copy of “the Immaculate Collection” so when I finally saw Madonna in concert in 2004 during her amazing re-invention tour, I was in tears when she came on the stage because I was so excited!

I splurged on floor level tickets to the Confessions tour and was right next to the end stage a the end of the catwalk. Madonna smiled at me during Jump, and I almost burst into tears (at age 35 – nice). I have bought floor tix again for this tour. God help me if she touches me. They’ll have to scrape me off the floor and i will have to laminate my hand if she touches it! LOL
Also a highlight: I spoke to her father on the phone to order wine for my wedding. He was awesome (And so was the Leelatage).

I had the black-stacked rubber bracelets, mini-skirt, tights… the whole outfit… in junior high. I even dressed up like her/Marilyn for Halloween the year Material Girl was released.

In the fifth grade (which was the year “The Immaculate Collection” came out) my best friend and I decide we were going to perform a show for the neighborhood of us dancing and singing to Madonna songs. We called ourselves the Madonna Doubles (I know, but I was 10). Every day after homework we would practice in my room and we had the choreography worked to the letter. We even printed up fliers with the image from the ad for the “Blonde Ambition” tour that was everywhere at the time. Well, we never got to put on the show for the whole ‘hood because a) we wanted to do it on our roof (!) or the front yard and our parents said no and b) the date we put on the fliers was Sept. 30 which doesn’t exist. So we ended up putting on a much smaller show in my backyard for just family and some friends. I was mad.

I have the one answer for that question. My best moment with the Queen of POP was when I saw her first time on a stage. It was in Prague in 2006 on her great Confessions Tour. It was amazing! I think I looked like The Beatles’ fan when she appeard. And you just can’t imagine what I felt when she looked at my eyes and smiled…

One time in the 8th grade (2 years ago) my four bffs and I started blasting her Like A Virgin album on our iPod speakers on our town green and we started 2 dance like crazy…pretty soon people had joined us and we had started a party!!!!!

Not by my choice, my mother hired a Madonna impersonator for my surprise 13th birthday party. I was mortified and could only think about how her dance moves didn’t match the real Madonna’s. I am 26 now and have been a fan since I was 5 years old.

Donald Ely August 16th, 2008

Oh, one more. In third grade my mother surprised me with tickets to see the Blond Ambition at the Capital Center in Largo, MD. I went with my Aunt Wanda and we had a blast. I felt like I was the youngest person there. When we returned home my mother asked me how the show was and I told her my favorite part was during Like A Virgin (when she masturbates on the red velvet bed). I proceeded to demonstrate what she did on our living room couch and my mother said “You will NOT be going to see her again until you’re 18!” SHe was right, I didn’t see her again until 2001.

My best karaoke performance has been “Like A Virgin.” I had a couple of drinks and I was dancing around the stage & jumping off the stage to sing to people. It was very funny!

Peter August 16th, 2008

RE: Donald Ely…LOL I can’t believe you simulated the Like A Virgin performance.

Saw Madonna in 1984 at the Live Aids Concert with 72,000.00 people and again in 1987 in Frankfurt (Who’s That Girl Tour)…60,000.00 people at this concert…both concerts were wild!!! No one can entertain better than Boy Toy Madonna!!

When I was 21, I got a pink and black snakeskin print cowboy hat that I would wear to bars and I loved dancing to the song “MUSIC”. In fact, I’d even play the CD on the way to the bar with the hat on and dance like a nut! But I have to say when I was about 6 or 7 I had quite a lot of fun bee-bopping to my “MATERIAL GIRL” tape. I think it’s a toss-up.

My sister and I have been HUGE Madonna fans since we were little girls. I think we had every dance move to The Virgin Tour memorized! We had never seen her live, so when she went on the Re-Invention tour in 2004 we HAD to go. Our seats weren’t good, but we didn’t care! We recreated Madonna’s Like a Virgin and Lucky Star looks and were ready to go. Two days before the concert I got a phone call at work from VH1 saying that I had won a contest on their website and I needed to pick a friend to sit IN THE PIT at Madonna’s concert. I really thought it was my sister pranking me, but it turned out to be real and my sister Katy and I were in the stage the entire show. Madonna even gave us high fives. Needless to say it was a night we’ll never forget!!

Kristen August 17th, 2008

The day of my best friend Amber’s wedding, we all got ready with her at her house with Madonna blasting over the speakers throughout the house. It was the perfect way for a woman to get ready for her big day- best friends and Madonna!!!!

Laura August 18th, 2008

It was in 93 the Girlie Show in Brazil, Morumbi Stadium. I was miles away from the stage, but who cares, she was fantastic. I danced, sang and had the time of my life. And all around me gay guys were doing their own act which made this concert even more memorable.

my best time with maddona was at karaoke, “like a virgin” is my nr.1 pick for karaoke and I always have fun singing and danceing. on my first college year I was the karaoke winner in a students club, playing on and on “like a virgin” and “material girl”. many prizes I won with maddona :p

Madonna has always been an inspiration for all women and girls alike. She has opened a lot of doors for us that would probably still be closed and she has inspired so many other young performers alike. You may not like her but you have to respect her. There are very few people in this world who have the courage to be who they want to be. And when you are in her presence or at her concert for a short time you start to believe that anything is possible for you to.

High school in the 80’s-dressed as Madonna for

Unfortunately-or thankfully-no pics!

i saw madonna at the hartford civic center in 2006 for a graduation gift and she was amazing! It was the first concert i ever went to and i thought she totally rocked the stage. It was like watching a theater production and i would not have missed it for the world!
